You know the full weight of living up to everyone else’s expectations of you
– as a son, husband, father, man.
It can be overwhelming. Crushing.
You don’t get there by wishing things would change!
You take intentional, decisive action.
You were created to
be a Ferrari.
Incredibly valuable.
But not a value derived from the praises of others, and especially not from a prideful, self-serving view of ourselves.
Our value comes from knowing that we are a masterpiece of our Creator – a loving Father who longs to instill deep within us an identity founded on His relentless love for us.

Guard the Gates
REBUILD • FORTIFY • PROTECT
Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control.
PROVERBS 25:28
I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one.
EZEKIEL 22:30
[The people] replied, “Let us start rebuilding.” So they began this good work.
NEHEMIAH 2:17

Enter 6 Strong
DEVELOPING THE FRUIT OF SELF-CONTROL
This isn’t a self-help, self-improvement tactic that promises too much and produces too little. Yes, we are called to develop the fruit of self-control, but, like fruit, you can’t make self-control grow.
You can’t command it. You can’t will it.
This is NOT a “try-harder-do-better” plan.
You’ve most likely already tried that. 100s of times. How’s that working out for you?
What you CAN DO is cultivate the soil.
Remove rocks and weeds.
Fertilize it.
Add nutrients.
This work, this cultivation,
is living 6 Strong.
We all have gates that need to be rebuilt and repaired.
They may be damaged or down entirely.
These are the six critical gates we believe every man must build and guard daily if we are to be the men we’re called to be.
Physical
Rest. Recovery. Fuel. Fitness.
Brain health. Heart health. Gut health.
Spiritual
Receiving and responding to the love of God.
Meditation & revelation.
Relational
Partner. Posterity. Peers. Parents.
Giving honor, appreciation, and love.
Emotional
The ability to feel, assess, and manage emotions.
Financial
The ability to monitor, manage, and multiply resources.
Professional
Discover and declare.
Acquisition of skillsets and mindsets.
Nothing hits harder than life.
And life doesn’t care who you are or what you’ve done.
The question is not whether you are going to get hit or not.
The question is whether you’ll have the audacity to keep getting back up and fighting for what matters most.
